Position Title: Jr. Project ManagerLocation: Bowmanville, ON, CAOperating Sector: NuclearWhat You'll Do Here:Business DevelopmentPrepare short and long term projections and forecasts for identified projectsPrepare project revenue targets and budgets and update as requiredResponsible for the development of business opportunities as they apply to the accountFacilitate a firsthand business relationship with customers at decision‐making levelsProposal and EstimatingEstablish strategies for success of proposalsParticipation and understanding of the final proposal pricingParticipation in the preparation and delivery of all proposal documentsRisk analysis, including review of Terms and Conditions, pre‐bid recommendation forms, PRC and chairing pre‐bid meetingsParticipation in the negotiation of the proposal towards awardProject ExecutionIdentification of threats to project delivery and establishment of suitable counter measuresEstablish resources required to execute projectsFacilitate project turnover meetings and foster information exchange from proposal teamSelect the management and supervision team to execute the projectsUltimate responsibility for the execution of the work in terms of safety, project management strategies, schedule, cost, manpower and client communicationsTotal responsibility for financial, accounting reporting associated with the projectPost job analysis of all major projectsResponsible for management of claims to their ultimate settlementManaging all project coordination aspectsInformal safety inspections as per Red Book trainingProvide supervisory guidance to project personnelPreparation of succession plansEnsure that all employees are fully trained for the function they are expected to fulfillWhat You Bring to the Team:Education to include undergraduate degree in Engineering or technical college diploma or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience5-10 years experience in project execution2-5 years Project Management related experienceExperience with coordinating/managing Engineer‐Procure‐Construct (EPC) workAbility to successfully coordinate a construction projectKnowledge of all aspects of construction such as technology, equipment, methods, trade agreements and jurisdiction, engineering, cost control, scheduling and safety requirementsGood communication, organizational and supervisory skills are essentialHigh proficiency in standard computer programsExperience in preparation and delivery of project reports in writing and verbally, including presentation to various stakeholdersExperience in a Nuclear facility, including within Zoned areas and Containment as necessary to plan and oversee the work, Advanced knowledge of tools, software, or methodologiesP.Eng and/or PMP considered an assetExperience in N286 Quality and execution projectsExperience in planning and executing EPC projectsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a rapid‐paced environmentSound judgment and confidentialityCollaborative and customer‐focused mindsetAdaptability and continuous improvement orientationCompensationPay Range: $110,000 - $125,000EEO & Accessibility StatementAecon fosters diversity, inclusion and belonging within and across our organization.
