Senior PeopleSoft HCM Functional Lead

We are seeking a Senior PeopleSoft HCM Functional Lead with strong experience in PeopleSoft HCM 9.2+, HR/Payroll, functional analysis, configuration, testing, and team leadership .

The consultant will provide senior functional expertise, project leadership, and coordination across the design, configuration, testing, and delivery of enterprise HR/Payroll solutions.

Responsibilities

- Provide senior functional expertise, project leadership, and coordination for functional design and delivery.
- Provide functional advice to business stakeholders and project teams using strong PeopleSoft HCM expertise.
- Lead analysis, design, configuration, and implementation of PeopleSoft HCM HR/Payroll solutions.
- Analyze, evaluate, prioritize, and resolve functional issues and defects.
- Identify opportunities to improve PeopleSoft module design, configuration, and processes.
- Lead System Analysts and Senior Functional Analysts throughout project delivery.
- Lead testing activities related to PeopleSoft PUM upgrades, PeopleTools upgrades, new features, and Fluid UI changes .
- Provide functional and technical guidance during testing and implementation.
- Lead functional, integration, performance, load, UAT, and payroll parallel testing .
- Manage defect identification, analysis, prioritization, tracking, and resolution.
- Apply QA principles, practices, tools, and methodologies.
- Identify opportunities to improve testing quality, coverage, and efficiency.
- Coordinate with business,



functional, technical, QA, and project teams.

Required Skills & Experience
- Significant experience with Human Resources and Payroll business functions .
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle PeopleSoft HCM 9.2+ .
- Experience with PeopleSoft Fluid UI, PUM upgrades, and PeopleTools upgrades .
- Strong understanding of HR/Payroll processes including:
- Employee onboarding
- Benefits enrollment
- Life event management
- Payroll
- HR integrations
- Experience leading functional teams through analysis, design, configuration, testing, and implementation .
- Experience leading SIT, functional testing, load/performance testing, UAT, and payroll parallel testing .
- Strong experience with QA processes and defect tracking/management .
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of PMI / PMBOK principles.
- Knowledge of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
- Knowledge of AODA and related accessibility standards.
- Experience working in public-sector HR/Payroll environments .

Nice to Have
- Previous PeopleSoft HCM Functional experience supporting large enterprise HR/Payroll environments .
- Experience with public-sector PeopleSoft implementations or upgrades.
- Experience with large-scale PeopleSoft HCM modernization and upgrade projects .
