The Assistant Store Manager provides support to the Store Manager in overseeing the daily retail store operations, and in the absence of the Store Manager, acts as the Manager on Duty (MOD).

The Assistant Store Manager makes sure that company rules and regulations are explained, understood and followed by all team members, that inventory counts are done in a prompt and precise manner in order to have proper resupply of goods, and ensures that established merchandising practices are followed. The Assistant Store Manager also participates in recruitment and training activities of new employees.

Responsibilities

- Support the Store Manager in overseeing daily retail store operations
- Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) in the absence of the Store Manager
- Communicate and enforce company rules, regulations, and policies with all team members
- Oversee inventory counts to ensure accuracy and timely completion for proper resupply
- Maintain established merchandising practices throughout the store
- Participate in recruitment and onboarding of new employees




- Train and develop team members to meet operational and performance expectations

Requirements

- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the retail industry
- Experience in team management
- Ability to efficiently organize time and manage priorities
- Good leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a agile and fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with ladders, up-and-down movements, and heavy lifting
- Available to work 40-50 hours weekly, including days, evenings, and weekends
- Flexibility to travel within the assigned region
- Legally authorized to work in Canada

Compensation

From $18.86 to $19.88 per hour. Work schedule to be determined based on store operational needs.

Minimum 2 years of experience in the retail industry; experience in team management; robust organizational and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
