This is an opportunity to join an engaged team where new ideas are welcomed, professional growth is encouraged, and your work will make a visible, lasting impact.THE OPPORTUNITYThe Utility Project Manager will lead critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects from early planning and procurement through construction, commissioning, and closeout.Working with internal teams, consultants, contractors, regulators, and community partners, you will keep complex capital projects moving forward—safely, efficiently, and in alignment with operational and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities IncludeLeading the planning, design, procurement,



and delivery of utility capital projectsManaging project schedules, budgets, risks, resources, and deliverablesCoordinating consultants, contractors, technical specialists, and third-party project managersOverseeing construction activities, inspections, quality, safety, and compliancePreparing and evaluating tenders, proposals, and procurement documentsAdministering contracts and managing changes to project scope and budgetSupporting annual and long-term capital planningReviewing engineering drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical agreementsLiaising with provincial regulators regarding approvals and facility upgradesProviding clear project updates, financial reporting, and recommendations to leadershipIdentifying opportunities to improve efficiency, sustainability, and infrastructure performanceTHE IDEAL CANDIDATEYou are an experienced engineering or infrastructure skilled who knows how to take complex capital projects from concept to completion.You bring strong project leadership, organization, and financial management skills.Sound judgment when balancing risk, cost, quality, and competing priorities.A strategic and forward-thinking approach to infrastructure planning.Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.Integrity,



accountability, and a commitment to public service.A collaborative, adaptable, and solutions-focused mindsetQUALIFICATIONSThe Successful Candidate Will HaveA degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or a related engineering discipline; or a Civil Engineering Technology diploma with a C.E.T. designationAt least five years of relevant experience with an engineering degree, or seven years with a C.E.T. designationProven experience delivering capital infrastructure or construction projectsStrong knowledge of project planning, budgeting, procurement, and contract administrationThe ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, contracts, and legal agreementsKnowledge of Alberta's water and wastewater regulatory requirementsStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and ExcelThe ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environmentThe Following Would Be Considered Strong AssetsP.Eng. designation in Alberta or eligibility for registration with APEGAProject Management Professional certificationExperience working with municipal, provincial, or federal agenciesExperience delivering water and wastewater capital projectsExperience with infrastructure optimization, innovation, or process improvementWHAT'S IN IT FOR YOULive in one of Alberta's most scenic communities with mountains directly in your backyard.
