The Intake Services Coordinator is responsible for service-related databases and systems. The Intake Services Coordinator ensures that the referral and intake process are delivered in accordance with the agency's philosophy, policies and procedures,



Ministry guidelines and applicable legislation.QualificationsCollege diploma or university degree in health services or social services from a recognized academic institution and a minimum of one year of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)Ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion when responding to confidential informationAbility to deal effectively with people in crisis or other challenging situationsStrong interpersonal, communication and presentation skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to function both independently and in a team environmentGeneral understanding of the theory, principles, legislation and practices of the delivery of human servicesKnowledge of community services and resourcesProficient computer skills in a Microsoft Office environment and database managementMust work in compliance with the provisions of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Regulations pursuant to itWork occasional irregular hoursA valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is requiredRequired to do occasional travel within the City of Thunder Bay and Northern Ontario, including overnightsIn accordance with Accessibility for Ontarians with a Disabilities Act, Wesway provides accommodation upon request.
