The City of Delta is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Process Automation Technologist to join our team. This is a technically complex role responsible for the operational planning, design, project administration, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of process automation, communications, and control systems supporting municipal operations and critical infrastructure.Working with considerable independence, you will provide technical leadership on major projects, troubleshoot complex automation and communications systems, oversee system upgrades, support cybersecurity initiatives, and provide technical guidance to staff, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.This position offers an opportunity to apply your expertise in automation, controls, communications, and industrial systems while contributing to the reliable and effective operation of essential municipal infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipate in operational and capital project planningLead assigned projects by preparing project and maintenance schedules and supervise work progressMonitor system performance and respond to failures or malfunctionsPerform routine preventative maintenance, diagnose issues and coordinate repairs to ensure system reliabilityOperate, maintain, and troubleshoot SCADA systems and related infrastructureDevelop, analyze and implement RTUs, PLCs, and associated field instrumentationDevelop and modify HMI systems, graphical interfaces, and maintain guidelines and recommendationsMaintain and plan cyber security framework for process automation systemsOversee utilization of the remote Radio System Management Software, maintain the licenses and perform diagnosticsConduct site inspections and system testing (including factory and site acceptance testing)Coordinate system upgrades, modifications, and related projectsLiaise with internal staff, vendors, consultants,
