What it’s like to be a Northbridge Senior Technical Assistant:

As a Senior Technical Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting our underwriting team by ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional service. You’ll also mentor and guide Technical Assistants, helping us maintain high standards and deliver on our service commitments. As a member of the Technical Risk team, you will be working on our large complex accounts.

In this role, you’ll:

- Provide technical and administrative support for underwriting files.
- Perform data entry, calculations, and generate reports using business systems.
- Process policy changes, cancellations, and reinstatements accurately and on time.
- Communicate with underwriters and brokers to verify and gather information.
- Review applications and endorsements for completeness and accuracy.
- Mentor and train Technical Assistants, ensuring quality and adherence to procedures.
- Collaborate on special projects and contribute to process improvements.

This is a 4-month contract position. We want your talent!

If you’re great at:

- Staying organized and managing multiple priorities.
- Communicating clearly with underwriters, brokers, and team members.
- Spotting details and ensuring accuracy in everything you do.
- Sharing knowledge and mentoring others.

If you have:

- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in the property and casualty insurance industry.
- Experience with processing fleet/auto underwriting is an asset.
- Strong data entry and Microsoft Office skills.
- CIP designation in progress (asset).

We’re committed to pay transparency and fairness. The base salary range for this role is $43,000 - $65,000, which reflects the expected base pay – not the total compensation package. The actual base salary may vary depending on your experience, skills, and alignment with the position. We’re also open to candidates at different levels, so if this range doesn’t quite match your expectations, don’t let that hold you back — we’d still love to hear from you.
