On behalf of our Transportation & Logistics Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Senior Transformation Office Lead: SAFe/PMI to join our Client’s team on a contract basis. This role is primarily Work-from-Home and the Client is based in Victoria, BC .

Summary of the Role

This role will support the evolution of an established project management function into a Transformation Management Office by implementing end-to-end improvements to governance, portfolio management, reporting, and delivery practices. The successful candidate will help establish a practical hybrid governance model combining PMI-based project delivery with SAFe and Lean Portfolio Management practices. The role is highly hands-on, translating approved direction into scalable processes, tools, reporting, training, and measurable adoption.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Lead approved process improvements from current-state assessment through design, validation, pilot, training, implementation, and adoption tracking.
- Develop and standardize governance processes, procedures, templates, RACI models, controls, and project management artifacts.
- Support hybrid governance practices combining traditional stage-gate controls with SAFe and Lean Portfolio Management approaches.
- Improve portfolio reporting, financial forecasting, labour cost allocation, project health metrics, dashboards, and supporting data models.
- Identify and implement responsible AI-supported workflows for documentation, status reporting, RAID consolidation, analysis, and other Transformation Office processes.
- Structure roadmap initiatives into sequenced backlogs with milestones, ownership, dependencies, risks, and success measures.
- Use Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Power BI, Power Automate, Jira,



and related tools to streamline processes and reporting.
- Develop repeatable processes, training materials, adoption reporting, and knowledge-transfer documentation to support long-term operational capability.

Core Requirements

- 7+ years of project, program, or portfolio delivery experience, including 5+ years in a senior PMO, TMO, or portfolio office role.
- Hands-on experience with SAFe and Lean Portfolio Management practices alongside strong knowledge of PMI-based project governance.
- Demonstrated experience improving project management processes from problem definition and process design through pilot, implementation, training, and adoption.
- Experience with project financial processes, including budgets, forecasts, actuals, variance analysis, and labour cost allocation.
- Practical experience using generative AI and Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint, Power BI, Power Automate, Excel, Teams, and related project or portfolio tooling.

Desired Skills & Experience

- Experience designing governance for environments where traditional stage-gate and agile delivery models coexist.
- Experience with portfolio reporting, KPI development, dashboards, process mapping, control frameworks, and PPM or agile platforms such as Jira, Planview, or Microsoft Project.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Information Systems,



or a related discipline.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
- SAFe certification such as SAFe Agilist, SAFe Program Consultant, or SAFe Lean Portfolio Management.

Terms: This is a 12-month contract with potential for renewal. The role is primarily remote within British Columbia, with occasional onsite meetings in Victoria or the Vancouver Lower Mainland as required. Use of Client-provided hardware is preferred.
