Fergie’s Café, tucked into the forest along the Cheakamus River in Squamish, is looking for experienced Servers to join our team.

We’re a busy, high-energy café serving scratch-made food in one of Squamish’s most beautiful settings. Our service can be fast-paced and physically demanding, but we believe great hospitality should still feel genuine, relaxed, and fun.

The Role As a Server at Fergie’s, you’ll be an important part of the guest experience from the moment people arrive until they leave.

You’ll be responsible for

- Welcoming guests with genuine, friendly hospitality
- Taking accurate food and beverage orders and entering them into our POS system
- Knowing our menu and being able to confidently answer questions about food, drinks, and allergens
- Serving food and beverages efficiently and with care
- Checking in with guests and making sure they have what they need throughout their visit
- Managing multiple tables and priorities during busy services
- Communicating clearly with the kitchen, bar, host, pass, and other members of the FOH team
- Keeping tables, service areas, and your section clean, organized, and ready for service
- Handling payments and cash accurately
- Supporting your teammates wherever needed — including jumping in to run food, transparent tables, reset sections, or help elsewhere during a rush




- Following food safety, sanitation, and allergen procedures
- Helping with opening, closing, cleaning, and general café duties
- Representing Fergie’s with a positive, professional attitude

What We’re Looking For You’ll be a great fit if you:

- Have previous restaurant serving experience
- Are confident working in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Can stay organized and positive when things get hectic
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Take initiative rather than waiting to be asked what needs doing
- Care about the details and take pride in providing great service
- Are comfortable being on your feet and working a physically demanding shift
- Are friendly, approachable, and genuinely enjoy interacting with guests
- Are reliable, punctual, and willing to pitch in wherever you're needed
- Have a strong work ethic and a good sense of humour

Experience with POS systems is an asset, but we'll teach you our systems. Serving It Right certification is required.

You must also be legally eligible to work in Canada and have a valid SIN.

Fluent English, both spoken and written, is required.

A Note About Working at Fergie’s

Fergie’s is not a traditional sit-down restaurant. We’re a busy café in a beautiful outdoor setting, and our shifts can be rapid, physical, and unpredictable.

You’ll be walking, standing, carrying plates and trays, moving between sections, running food, clearing tables, and helping your teammates throughout the day. Think of it as a hospitality workout — if you enjoy hiking, climbing, mountain biking, dancing, or being on the move, you’ll probably fit right in.

We believe the best teams are the ones that look out for each other. Everyone has a role, but everyone is expected to jump in when the team needs it.

Pay: $18.25 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 32.0 per week
