The MandateOur client, a recognized company in the mining sector, is looking for a Project Director to lead the planning, execution and delivery of large-scale mining projects, from the design phase to commissioning. You will act as a central point of contact between engineering and construction teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and the highest quality and safety standards.Main ResponsibilitiesPlan, coordinate, and oversee all phases of a mining project (design, procurement, construction, commissioning)Manage budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and to agreed specificationsLiaise with civil and mining engineering teams, contractors, and suppliersIdentify, assess, and mitigate project risksEnsure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE)



standardsProduce transparent progress reports for management and stakeholders stakeholdersLead and motivate multidisciplinary project teamsDesired ProfileDegree in civil or mining engineeringMinimum of 10 years of project management experience, ideally in the mining sectorDemonstrated experience in managing large-scale projects (budget, schedule, multidisciplinary teams)Good knowledge of applicable mining sector standards (Directive 19, etc.)Strong leadership, organizational skills, and excellent communication skillsMembership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) — an assetBilingualism (French/English) — an asset, depending on project needs
