This role works cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners, contributing to the financial management and overall operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesProcess customer payments received either by cheque, credit card payments by phone, and electronic paymentsInput vendors to be paid electronically into bank portal for CFO approvalInput electronic payments in bank portal for CFO and/or CEO approval depending on amountAccounts receivable collectionsPrepare monthly sales tax returnsMonthly depreciation calculationBi-weekly payroll entriesVarious general ledger account reconciliationsMonthly account reconciliationsPreparing journal entries as required for approval by CFOCalculate weekly payments to contract delivery driversAssist with various financial reports as requiredAssist with year-end external accounting reviews for 2 companiesSpecial projects as requiredQualifications and soft skillsMinimum 10+ years accounting experienceAccounting designation or enrollment in an accounting degree course an assetWill provide possibilities for future promotion within the companyExperience working in an ERP accounting systemExperience with NetSuite ERP a definite asset!Excellent knowledge of MS Office with special emphasis on ExcelOrganized, proactive, self-motivated and capable of producing results and meeting deadlinesAble to communicate effectively and develop robust working relationships with colleaguesExperience with purchasing in a manufacturing environment would be an assetWork in office with the possibility of a hybrid arrangement after probation period
