If you are a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who likes small town living, this position in Two Hills might be for you! As the successful candidate for this position, you will cover the Long Term Care department in the Two Hills Health Centre and model Patient and Family Centered Care. Situated 135 km east of Edmonton, Two Hills is a rural center serving an agricultural region. The town has a population of 1,379 while the county has approximately 4,500 people. Residents have easy access to commercial areas, as well as several parks and playgrounds. The town has a grocery store, several restaurants, gas stations, two banks, various businesses, two schools with Kindergarten to grade 12, an arena, curling rink, gym and a golf course. Within a half-hour drive are three beautiful lakes ideal for camping and fishing. As members of the nursing team, Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) are responsible and accountable for the secure quality care of clients.

you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing secure, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization.

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Two years recent experience as an LPN.

LPN experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
