Ideal Air Inc. is looking to expand our team with an experienced Lead Sheet Metal Installer / Sheet Metal Worker for commercial HVAC projects throughout the GTA.

We are looking for someone who can confidently take ownership of installations, read and interpret drawings, plan work in the field, troubleshoot installation issues, and provide direction to other installers or apprentices when required.

This is not an entry-level position. The ideal candidate has strong commercial sheet metal experience, takes pride in their workmanship, can work independently, and is looking for stable, long-term employment with an established HVAC contractor.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum 5 years of sheet metal/HVAC installation experience
- Strong commercial sheet metal and HVAC installation experience
- 308A Sheet Metal Worker certification preferred
- Experienced registered 308A apprentices nearing completion will also be considered
- Previous experience leading installations, crews or apprentices
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans and specifications




- Strong duct layout, fabrication and installation skills
- Ability to plan installations and determine material requirements
- Strong field troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to quality and workmanship
- Reliable, organized and qualified
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Ability to travel to job sites throughout the GTA

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead commercial sheet metal and HVAC installations from start to finish
- Review drawings, specifications and site conditions before and during installation
- Plan installation requirements and determine materials, equipment and labour needs
- Complete layout and installation of ductwork and related HVAC components
- Coordinate day-to-day installation activities on site
- Direct and assist installers and apprentices as required
- Troubleshoot and resolve field installation issues
- Identify deficiencies and communicate site issues promptly
- Communicate job progress and requirements with the office/project team
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
- Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment responsibly
- Represent Ideal Air Inc. professionally while working at customer and contractor sites

Pay: Starting at $32.00 per hour, with higher compensation negotiable based on experience, qualifications and demonstrated ability.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule: Monday to Friday, with overtime as required
