Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving / Forklift Operator to join our team. This is a hands-on role responsible for receiving materials, preparing finished products for shipment, operating forklifts, and supporting day-to-day production and warehouse activities.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties

- Receive and inspect incoming shipments
- Load and unload trucks safely using a forklift and other material-handling equipment.
- Pick, stage, package, and prepare fabricated products for shipment.
- Verify quantities, part numbers, job numbers, and shipping documentation.
- Support production with material handling and general labour duties.
- Maintain organized shipping, receiving, and material storage areas.
- Complete shipping/receiving paperwork and basic computer/ERP transactions.
- Identify and report material discrepancies, damage, or inventory issues.
- Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping procedures.

Qualifications

- 2+ years of experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse, manufacturing, or a similar environment.




- Valid forklift certification and solid forklift operating experience.
- Overhead crane experience is an asset.
- Comfortable lifting and moving materials and performing physically demanding general labour.
- Solid attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Reliable, safety-minded, and willing to take ownership of daily responsibilities.
- Basic computer skills and experience with ERP/inventory systems are an asset.
- Basic math skills for counting and verifying quantities accurately
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as load & unload shipments repeatedly throughout the shift
- Ability to work day shift or afternoon shift

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
