We are seeking an experienced SimCorp Dimensions Derivatives SME to provide subject matter expertise across derivatives processing and associated workflows within SimCorp Dimensions.
The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, operations, technology teams, vendors, and project resources to support the implementation, configuration, optimization, testing, troubleshooting, and ongoing enhancement of derivatives functionality.
The role requires strong knowledge of both OTC and exchange-traded derivatives, including trade lifecycle management, valuation, collateral management, settlements, reconciliations, cashflow processing, data management, and operational controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary SME for derivatives processing and functionality within SimCorp Dimensions.
- Configure, validate, and optimize SimCorp Dimensions derivatives modules and related workflows.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into system and process solutions.
- Support solution design, implementation, migration, upgrades, testing, and production activities.
- Provide expertise across the full derivatives lifecycle, including:
- Trade capture and confirmation
- Valuation
- Collateral management
- Settlements
- Reconciliations
- Corporate actions
- Lifecycle event processing
- Cashflow processing
- Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and operational efficiency.
- Investigate and resolve complex derivatives processing, valuation, data, and integration issues.
- Support data mapping, instrument setup, security master maintenance, and interface validation.
- Develop and execute test strategies, test cases, system testing, and UAT scenarios.
- Provide recommendations related to data quality, system controls, exception management, and operational risk.
- Support reporting requirements and operational/management reporting.
- Collaborate with front office, middle office, operations, accounting, risk, technology, and project teams.
- Provide knowledge transfer and guidance on SimCorp Dimensions derivatives capabilities and best practices.
- Support documentation of business processes, procedures, configuration decisions, and training materials.
Must-Have Requirements
Candidates should have
- 7+ years of experience working with derivatives products and associated operational workflows.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with SimCorp Dimensions, including implementation, configuration, support, enhancement, or optimization.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of SimCorp Dimensions derivatives functionality, including trade lifecycle processing, valuation, settlements, reconciliations, and cashflow management.
- 5+ years of experience with OTC and exchange-traded derivatives, including lifecycle events, valuations, collateral processes, and operational controls.
- 5+ years of experience gathering business requirements and translating them into system/process solutions within SimCorp Dimensions or comparable investment-management platforms.
- 3+ years of experience supporting implementation, migration, upgrade, testing, or transformation initiatives involving derivatives processing.
- Strong understanding of derivative trade economics, instrument structures, and operational processes.
- 3+ years of experience troubleshooting complex derivatives processing, data, valuation, or integration issues.
- 3+ years of experience developing and executing UAT, system testing, reconciliation, and validation activities.
- Experience working within complex investment-management environments with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience collaborating with front office, middle office, operations, accounting, risk, technology, and vendor teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to business stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have Requirements
- Experience working with multiple derivative asset classes, including:
- Interest-rate derivatives
- Equity derivatives
- Credit derivatives
- FX derivatives
- Commodity derivatives
- Experience with derivative instrument setup and security master/data management.
- Experience supporting system upgrades, migrations, releases, or major platform enhancements.
- Experience identifying opportunities for automation, standardization, and process improvement.
- Experience developing operational procedures, configuration documentation, and training materials.
- Strong knowledge of exception management, reconciliation controls, data quality, and operational risk mitigation.
- Experience providing SME guidance or knowledge transfer to business and technical teams.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and in high-pressure project environments.
- Solid ownership, accountability, attention to detail, and root-cause problem-solving skills.
- Experience balancing operational risk, efficiency, and accuracy when making recommendations.
Pay: $110.00-$140.00 per hour
