FUNDAMENTAL OBJECTIVEThe primary objective of the Project Manager (PM) is to deliver projects on time and on budget, with a focus on exceptional client satisfaction, quality, safety, and value-added services.GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITYThe Project Manager is accountable to the Construction Manager/Branch Manager and is responsible for managing and overseeing all activities related to the planning through to completion of a project including estimating, scheduling, resourcing, contract preparation and negotiation, submittal and material procurement, and management of client needs and expectations.The PM oversees overseeing and directing the project by communicating directly with client, consultants, sub-contractors and internal resources regarding project status reports and work to ensure the execution of the project adheres to the contract plans and specifications.NATURE AND SCOPEThe Project Manager receives general supervision from the Construction Manager/Branch Manager. The PM relies on project management as well as construction and petroleum experience, business acumen and reliable judgment to execute goals.The PM interacts effectively with customers, sub- contractors, suppliers and Phoenix team members including Estimators, Site Supervisors, and other PMs. They can work well independently as well as collaborate successfully to carry out PM responsibilities.SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIESDevelop the project scope of work requirements, cost estimates, project plan based on predefined customer strategy and budgetDefine activities, sequences of events, dependencies and duration of tasksPlan and coordinate all aspects of the project, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects and vendorsControl the time, cost and quality of projects, determine the scheduling of different phases based on established deadlines and day-today project managementNegotiate contracts with vendors, contractors and other workersPrepare schedules and forecastsSecure building permits, licenses,



utility locates, and delivery of materials and equipment to project siteAddress project issuesManages day-to-day operational aspects of a project address project issuesCommunicate and enforce company safety standards and operating practicesRepresent the client's best interest with a value-added approachDevelop short- and long-term goals both personally and for project staffPost-project reviews with the intention of identifying best practices and cost breakdownComplete required client safety trainingEstablish excellent working relationships with all team members to ensure high performance team and project success performance team and project successOtherDemonstrates a high degree of loyalty to the companyDemonstrates company values in actions and behaviorComply with all safety policies, practices and proceduresAssist in the accomplishment of Company and project goals.Assist team members to accomplish Company and project goals.Other duties as requiredSKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEDemonstrated effective project management skillsThorough understanding of industry practices, processes, standards etc. and their impact on project activitiesStrong ability to manage multiple projects at different stages of renovation/constructionCan conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesExcellent listening ability and exemplary written and oral communication skillsExceptional organizational and planning skillsAbility to multitask,



plan and oversee multiple projects simultaneouslySupervisory skills & ability to resolve conflictsTechnically competent with various software programsProficiency in project management softwareKnowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Administration standardsEffective contract negotiating skillsUnderstand basic accounting procedures including profits and lossesPossess an exceptional level of professionalism, integrity, and customer focusDriven and success orientedEffective decision makerAbility to work well independently and in a high performance, fast-paced team environmentHigh degree of energy and ability to prioritize and manage time to maximize productivity and effectivenessStrong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive, strategic working relationshipsA tenacious, collaborative team approach; and possess a positive attitudeQUALIFICATIONS2 – 10 years related experience working in midstream or downstream petroleumMinimum 2 years direct work experience in a project management capacityEngineering and/or Design experience is considered an assetPost-secondary education in relevant field or combination of education and experience is considered an assetProject Management Certification or in process would be an assetExperience in construction, industrial and/or petroleum industry is requiredMust have valid driver's license and reliable transportation·Travel is required. Candidates must be willing to travel within Atlantic Canada.Valid Canadian passportFluent English language skillsCompensation based on experience with possibility to increaseReference check requiredAll employees must be willing to practice secure work practices and procedures for COVID-19.
