Snow Plow Operator

Duties

- Operate snow plow equipment to clear roads, parking lots, and sidewalks during winter weather conditions
- Remove snow and ice from designated areas using plows, shovels, and other snow removal tools
- Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly to snowfall or icy conditions
- Ensure safe operation of equipment and adherence to all safety protocols
- Perform routine maintenance on snow plow equipment to keep it in good working condition
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used

Skills:
- Ability to operate and maneuver large snow plow vehicles in a safe and efficient manner
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and address any equipment issues that may arise
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques to minimize damage to grass, plants, and other outdoor features while clearing snow
- Ability to work in cold weather conditions for extended periods of time
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Solid physical stamina and ability to lift heavy loads when necessary
