Seasonal Snow Removal Equipment Operator

Seasonal / Part time / On-Call - Winter Months

Westgate Honda is looking for a reliable and experienced Snow Removal Equipment Operator to maintain our dealership parking lots and property throughout the winter season.

This is an excellent seasonal opportunity for someone with experience operating tractors, skid steers or similar equipment who is comfortable working independently. Previous snow plowing and snow removal experience would be an asset.

Responsibilities

- Operate tractors equipped with snow plows and other snow-removal attachments
- Operate skid steer equipment for snow clearing and removal
- Clear dealership parking lots, driveways and access areas safely and efficiently
- Apply salt and ice-control materials as required
- Ensure parking lots and access areas are cleared and safe before the dealership opens
- Perform basic pre-operation inspections of equipment and report any maintenance concerns
- Operate equipment carefully to avoid damage to vehicles, curbs, buildings and other property
- Assist with other snow and ice management duties as required

Qualifications

- Previous experience operating tractors, skid steers, loaders or similar equipment
- Previous snow plowing or commercial snow-removal experience is preferred

- Valid Ontario driver's license
- Strong understanding of safe equipment operation
- Reliable, responsible and able to work independently
- Able to respond to changing winter weather conditions
- Must be available for early mornings and, when necessary, overnight work so snow can be cleared before the dealership opens
- Reliable transportation to and from work during winter weather conditions

Compensation & Hours

- $28.00-$35.00 per hour,



depending on experience and qualifications
- Guaranteed minimum of 100 paid hours for the winter season
- Seasonal, part-time/on-call position
- Hours will vary depending on snowfall and weather conditions
- Early-morning and occasional overnight availability will be required
- Dealership-owned snow-removal equipment is provided

The 100-hour minimum guarantee provides the successful candidate with a minimum level of compensation for committing to being available throughout the winter season, even during a lighter-than-normal snowfall year. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for maintaining Westgate Honda's own properties, rather than travelling between multiple commercial snow-removal customers.
