To learn more about CMH, please visit our website at www.Cmh.Org.Job DescriptionSalary$26.702 - $28.950ScheduleDays, Monday-FridayShift8 hoursFull-time contract expected to end October 2027Position Summary:This position provides general clerical support to the Purchasing department, Monday to Friday during the day and reports directly to Manager Purchasing and Supply Chain. The primary responsibility is to act as a liaison between clients (staff, internal customers, suppliers, and visitors) and Purchasing Supply Chain and act as the first point of contact when requests for service are required. The physical demands of the role may include but are not limited to prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing and pulling. This position contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.Posted hours do not constitute a guarantee that shifts will not be subject to change.Duties and Responsibilities:Reception, communication with suppliers along with supporting both the purchasing and distribution departmentCreate, process, and update Purchase Orders (PO's) daily, expediting when requiredRetrieve and review EDI acknowledgementsProcess product returns and service/repair Purchase Orders as requiredRun backorder report and follow-up on all outstanding orders advising end users,



where applicableAssist buyers with Requests for Quotations (RFQ's)Work with Receiving to resolve any delivery issuesMaintain and update vendor and item data in MeditechRun Reports, Back Order, Accounts payable, Electronic Requisitions and month end reportsReconcile AP exceptions as requiredMaintain and update MeditechCreate and post schedule for Distribution StaffLog distribution departments schedule, including vacation and absences in MeditechData entry, filing, and clerical duties as requiredAll other duties as per job fact sheet.Skills and Qualifications:3-5 years of current clerical experience working in Meditech is requiredPost Secondary Education in purchasing or equivalent preferredProficiency using Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook is requiredStrong computer skills and some knowledge of computer databases and office equipment requiredExcellent communication skills (both verbal and written)Working knowledge of Materials Management module considered an assetAbility to work and thrive in a fast-paced environmentProblem solving skills and the ability to adapt to shifting prioritiesAbility to interact directly with suppliers and hospital staff is requiredExcellent interpersonal skills, team player, self-motivated, detail-orientedExceptional organizational skills and the ability to complete multiple complex tasks and meet deadlinesFlexible and open to changeDemonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis is requiredAs part of our commitment to the health and safety of our patients, staff and community from COVID-19, subject to any accommodation required by applicable human rights legislation, Cambridge Memorial Hospital requires that all staff have received all required doses of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by Health Canada.The successful external applicant is required to provide the applicable criminal record check, as requested by Human Resources, in accordance with federal and provincial legislation.
