Job OverviewAs a Field Service Technician II with BearCom, you will be responsible for the installation and support of wireless communications systems. Your role involves creating mid-level programming codeplugs, installing and servicing wireless communications equipment, recommending equipment that meets customer requirements, and occasionally traveling regionally or working on-call hours.ResponsibilitiesCreate Mid-Level Programming Codeplugs (12+ Channels, Trunking, Multiple Zones)Install and Service Wireless Communications Equipment (UHF/VHF and 800/900 MHz Systems, Dispatch Consoles, BDA/DAS Systems, Microwave Systems, Wireless Broadband Devices, CCTV Equipment)Recommend Appropriate Equipment and Hardware that meets Customer RequirementsTravel Regional and/or Overnight and be available for On-Call Hours as requiredPreferred QualificationsProficient Electronics BackgroundExperience in Diagnosing, Repairing, Programming, and Installing RF EquipmentUnderstanding of Two-Way Radio Theory and RF Propagation Characteristics at various Frequency BandsCompetent Operating Test Equipment (Communications Service Monitors, Wattmeters, TDRs, FDRs, Multimeters)IP Networking ExperienceProficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)Valid Driver's LicenseDrug Screening, Motor Vehicle Record, and Background Checks are part of the hiring processQualifications3+ years of Service Technician experience in diagnosing, repairing, programming, installing and commissioning video and access control type systemsGood base knowledge of networks and electronic systemsRead basic blueprints, schematics, manuals,
