This role offers a deeply meaningful opportunity to help young children connect, express, and thrive by providing direct, impactful therapy. We are looking for one part-time and one full-time SLP. Please indicate in your cover letterif you would like full or part time.What You'll Do: The ImpactClinical Excellence & Individualized SupportKeep your passion for therapy alive by managing a diverse, rewarding caseload.Caseload Management: Assess and support a caseload of up to 25 children with a range of developmental diagnoses and communication profiles (focusing on communication, social interaction, speech, and language development).Integrative Planning: Develop and implement Individual Program Plans (IPPs) in close collaboration with multidisciplinary team members (OT, PT, Coordinating Teacher, and Assistants).Targeted Evaluations: Utilize both standardized and non-standardized tools to assess and evaluate communication strengths and needs.On-Site Visits: Conduct impactful program visits directly at the student's childcare or preschool site.Site Support:



Empower early childhood sites and community staff with SLP-related training.Family and Community EngagementCollaborative Updates: Communicate with families to review progress, celebrate achievements, and adjust goals.Workshops & Training: Lead or participate in parent workshops, community presentations, or in-services.Caregiver Empowerment: Offer practical, home-based coaching strategies and tools to empower caregivers.Transition Success: Attend and actively contribute to critical IPP meetings and transition planning.Cultivate the Future: Supervise student placements (SLPA/SLP students) to support the growth of the professionWhat You BringEducational & Professional CredentialsMaster's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.Current, active registration with ACSLPA .Proven experience in early intervention and supporting preschool-aged children.Core Strengths & MindsetAn Inclusion Champion: A fierce, foundational belief in equity and inclusive education—ensuring every child feels welcome and supported.A Natural Leader: Outstanding communication, collaborative problem-solving, and time management skills.Adaptable & Energetic: The physical ability to engage with active young childrenSafety & LogisticsValid Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector and a Child Intervention Record Check (completed within the last 6 months).Valid Alberta Driver's License, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance (mileage reimbursement provided).Willingness to wear PPE for site visits as needed.Occasional evening/weekend flexibility (typically only once or twice a year).Our Commitment to YouCommunity Options is proud to be an equal opportunity and equitable employer.
