Chartwell is seeking a Maintenance Manager who will be responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of our residence, including equipment, furnishings, and surrounding areas. This role is essential to ensure that our physical workplace supports the comfort and safety of our residents and aligns with Chartwell's Brand and Health & Safety standards.What You'll DoPlan and implement preventative maintenance to ensure all systems and facilities are well-maintainedRespond promptly to repair needs in resident areas and common spacesMaintain safety and appearance by servicing fixtures, preparing units, and coordinating vendor workSource and manage external service providers, ensuring cost-effective and compliant procurementLead maintenance and housekeeping staff and participate in Health & Safety initiatives and Manager on Duty rotationProvide professional, responsive service to residents, staff, and vendors.What You'll BringMinimum one to three years' experience in a supervisor roleExtensive experience in building maintenance and systems; ability to coordinate tasks with vendors and perform hands‐on repairsTrade certification or maintenance training preferredExperience with carpentry, plumbing, painting, and equipment preferredSupervisory or leadership experience in maintenance or building operationsStrong organizational and multitasking skills; able to plan and prioritize workComputer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelClear communicator with strong customer service and conflict resolution skillsKnowledge of safety procedures within healthcare an assetFlexible for on‐call and varied hoursValid Driver's License, or reliable means of transportationWhat We OfferA safe,
