Intent of the process
A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates may be established through this process and may be used to staff identical or similar positions with various tenures, security requirements, work locations and/or linguistic requirements within Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC).Our immediate intention is to staff a position located at 9700 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton (Alberta).

Your application must clearly explain how you meet the following

A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (see Note 1)

Note 1:
The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Significant experience working in construction or maintenance safety.





Significant experience applying, implementing or monitoring compliance with federal, provincial or territorial legislative Occupational Health and Safety requirements related to construction sites or maintenance activities.

Significant experience providing advice to management, trades and workers regarding the interpretation and application of provincial Occupational Health and Safety legislation such as Acts, Codes, Regulations, Standards and industry codes of practice.

Significant experience in the development and the delivery of presentations, health and safety training programs or information sessions, both in person and virtually.

Definition:
Significant experience will be evaluated in regard to the amount, complexity, and diversity of the work handled, and the level of autonomy demonstrated.

Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in Occupational Health and Safety or acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience related to construction or maintenance safety.

Certification or eligibility for certification as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional or equivalency.

Certified in a construction or maintenance compulsory or voluntary trade.

Experience in interpreting and applying federal occupational health and safety acts and regulations.
