Since opening in Canmore, Alberta, in 1997 we have expanded to 7 locations, serving some of Canada’s most renown tourist destinations. We specialize in providing a wide selection of novelty, retro, and imported products from around the world. We pride ourselves on creating a nostalgic, fun experience for every customer.

We are looking for an experienced individual with aspirations to progress and develop their career in retail management. This role requires someone with high energy who takes care of the details, is self-disciplined in their daily approach, and is accountable for upholding our standards.

Responsibilities The position is to oversee and directly manage our Vancouver location. This is a hands-on leadership role with full operational responsibility. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Product Management

- Monitor inventory levels and place orders in a timely fashion.
- Receive orders and expedite product to the retail floor.
- Merchandise product in accordance with OTC merchandising guidelines.
- Maintain a fully stocked store.

Staff Management

- Hire, train, and develop staff members.
- Schedule and manage employee shifts.
- Foster a positive friendly work environment.
- Ensure staff follow company policy.
- Solve personnel conflicts appropriately and respectfully.

Operations Management

- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized store ensuring a smooth flowing work environment.




- Maintain store opening hours and ensure exceptional customer service.
- Direct staff on daily tasks. Delegate responsibilities when/where appropriate.
- Arrange store maintenance such as garbage removal, repairs, etc.

Company Collaboration

- Regular communication with OTC senior management.
- Collaboration with other OTC stores with regards to product/operational efficiencies.
- Adhering to company policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Qualifications

- 3+ years of retail/management experience.
- Ability to lift 40+ lbs from floor, and walk/stand/move most of the day.
- Possess computer/technological skills and troubleshooting ability.
- Independent thinker who takes initiative to get things done.
- High energy, detailed, self-disciplined, accountable.
- Aspirations to progress their professional retail management career.
