Position Summary
Kiewit is hiring experienced TIG & RMD/FCAW B-Pressure Hand Welders for the Woodfibre project located in Squamish, BC.

Job Duties
Duties include:

Completing carbon steel & stainless steel (304L) closure welds for module interconnects

Working in tight spaces/at heights

Completing carbon steel and stainless steel (304L) welds for current construction piping systems

Requirements

Valid Journeyperson Red Seal Welding ticket or an equivalent certification with the ability and willingness to apply for a recognized credential through a provincial trades qualifier program.

Valid BC Class A Pressure Welder certification

If you hold an equivalent certification/experience, you must be willing and able to obtain BC registration

5+ years’ experience with TIG (GTAW) welding stainless steel and carbon

5+ years’ experience with stick (SMAW) hand welding

RMD experience is an asset

Must pass weld tests per company standards – Stainless TIG, Carbon TIG, Carbon Stick, RMD/FCAW

Must have experience performing welding work in outdoor environments, varying weather conditions, and restricted spaces

Shift Information
14 x 7 days,



10-hour shifts; overtime as per collective agreement

Base Wage: $56.00 for B-Pressure Tig Welders

If DSP: $63.35

Additional site premiums available upon:

Successful completion of 30 DI using RMD

Completion of 50 DI with no repair

Union Benefits – 6% vacation pay, 4.4% statutory holiday pay, health and welfare benefits (disability insurance, dental insurance, extended medical coverage, RSP contributions, matching pension contributions)

Upon an offer, all candidates must be able to pass a SureHire Drug, Alcohol, & 50lb Fitness-to-work test
