The Mint is hiring a Customer Experience Ambassador who can thrive in a dynamic and inclusive environment.Reporting to the Supervisor, Retails, the Customer Experience Ambassador will be responsible for providing informative, friendly and entertaining tours to visitors, promoting the Mint through the sale of its products and ensuring the seamless flow of day-to-day work activities in the boutique.Qualifications:Language Requirements:Proficiency in both official languages (English / French) is required at the time of hire. If no qualified candidate fully meets the required levels, other candidate language profiles may be considered in accordance with the Mint's Staffing Policy. The linguistic profile for this position is:QUALIFICATIONS:Education and Experience:College diploma and experience in a similar functionMinimum two (2) years' experience in the tourism industry and/or in a retail environmentCustomer service and sales experience is an assetKnowledge:Knowledge of the Royal Canadian Mint, its products and its marketsGuided tour and introduction techniques while greeting visitorsUse of computers and able to operate cash registers and cash handlingInventory replenishing and controlSkills and Abilities:Book and organize guided tours.Lead guided tours in both official languages; confident with public speaking in groups up to 30 peopleAnswer visitor inquiries and complaints professionally,



find appropriate solutions and resolve these efficientlyExcellent interpersonal skills and competent with selling and training techniquesPossess solid communication skills with positive teamwork attitudeWork well under pressure and comfortable with repetitive tasks.Write clearly and concisely in both official languagesDemonstrate initiative and sound judgment. Able to determine priorities and remain organizedThe retail boutique and tours operate 7 days a week. Ambassadors must be prepared to work both weekends and holidays as required.
