This position would be working from Monday to Friday, 10:00AM to 8:00PM.Location: 891 Jinkinson Road, Stittsville, ONVacancy: ReplacementPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESTest and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's performance specificationsPerform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune upsInspect and test mechanical units, such as engines, transmissions, axles and brake systems, to locate faults and malfunctionsDiagnose faults or malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repairRepair or replace mechanical units or components using hand and power toolsTest and adjust units to specifications for proper performanceComplete reports to record problems and work performed.Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of systems including chassis, frame, cab, body, engine and drive train, air brakes, steering, and fuel, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systemsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCECompletion of secondary school is usually required.Completion of a four-year automotive service technician apprenticeship program or a combination of over four years of work experience in the trade and high school, college or industry courses in automotive technology is required to be eligible for trade certification would be considered an asset but not necessaryAutomotive service technician (steering,



suspension and brakes) trade certification would be considered an assetCandidates that are in 2nd or 3rd year apprenticeship program will also be consideredValid G license along with reliable transportation to get to and from workWORKING CONDITIONSMust be available to work an afternoon shift from 10AM-8PMWorking in an environment with loud noises such as running trucks, air breaks, horns, power tools, etc.Working in a garage environment with hard flooring and dustBending, crouching, climbing, reaching and liftingWorking indoors and outdoorsCOMPENSATION INFORMATIONThe expected salary range for this position is $41 - $43.50 per hour.
