Department/Unit/Program Description
Ross Memorial Hospital (RMH) is an active, acute-care community hospital located in the heart of the City of Kawartha Lakes. Among our acute and continuing care services, our team cares for 45,000 patients per year in the 24/7/365 emergency department, provides orthopedics and ophthalmology, operates a dialysis unit, and is renowned for its mental health programs and restorative seniors care. Position Summary
The Environmental Services Department is currently seeking a temporary part-time Environmental Services I team member.

Effective Date
August 24, 2026

Ending on or before Date
February 1, 2027

Essential Qualifications

Grade 12 or equivalent

Demonstrated ability to deal effectively and co-operatively with all levels of staff, patients and the public





Demonstrated high level of communication, organizational and time management skills

Must have, or be willing to successfully complete training in a number of required competencies including CPI, WHMIS, etc.

Must be physically fit as the job involves heavy lifting, pushing, pulling and periods of bending/stooping

Must be able to fulfill the physical requirements of the job as per the current Physical Demands Analysis

Preferred Qualifications

Previous housekeeping/grounds keeping experience in a health care setting or similar institution

Hours of Work
Must be available for days, evenings, and nights, Monday through Sunday, with weekend rotation. Shifts and hours may vary according to departmental requirements and as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
