We are seeking a System Interface Engineer to support a major engineering project focused on the development, integration and validation of complex electronic and software-based systems. In this role, you will act as a key link between system architecture, hardware, firmware and software teams, helping to define robust interfaces and ensure that requirements are translated into reliable, testable solutions. You will contribute throughout the development lifecycle, from initial specification and design through integration, verification and release.

Your responsibilities will include analysing system requirements, defining interface specifications and data flows, and supporting the implementation of communication protocols between system components. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to investigate integration issues, perform root-cause analysis and coordinate corrective actions. The role will also involve preparing technical documentation, reviewing design proposals, developing interface test strategies and supporting automated or manual validation activities.

You will monitor interface performance,



identify risks and ensure that solutions comply with agreed architectural, quality and safety requirements. The successful candidate will have skilled experience in system engineering, embedded systems, software integration or a closely related discipline. A strong understanding of system interfaces, communication protocols, requirements management and verification methods is essential.

Experience with hardware/software integration, debugging tools, scripting or test automation will be highly valued, as will familiarity with structured development processes and configuration management. You should be comfortable working with technical specifications, analysing complex problems and communicating clearly with stakeholders across different engineering domains. A degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, systems engineering, computer science or a related subject is preferred.
