As a Cyber Security Analyst, you'll play a key role in detecting and responding to cyber threats while contributing to incident response, threat intelligence and the continuous improvement of FCC's security capabilities.In this role, you'll monitor security events, investigate potential threats, analyze logs and security telemetry, and help identify appropriate response actions. You'll work closely with cyber security colleagues and business partners to support timely detection, investigation and mitigation of security risks.We're looking for an analytical thinker who can assess cyber security alerts,



investigate unusual activity and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment - someone who's comfortable working through complex situations where the answer may not be immediately clear and has the confidence and judgment to elevate issues when additional expertise or response is needed.If you enjoy solving technical problems, uncovering patterns and translating complex findings into plain language, we'd like to hear from you.What you'll doMonitor security alerts, logs, events and information feeds to identify potential threats or anomalous activityInvestigate and analyze cyber security events to determine cause, impact and appropriate next stepsDocument and elevate incidents that require additional investigation, analysis or responseReview log files and security telemetry to distinguish between benign activity and potential threatsSupport the administration, maintenance and testing of cyber defence systems and monitoring processesContribute to threat intelligence, incident response, tool tuning, security hardening initiatives and continuous improvement activities that strengthen FCC's cyber security operationsWhat you'll bring to the teamRequired qualifications:A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, cyber security or a related disciplineAt least four years of related cyber security experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)Experience in a cyber security operations, security operations centre or similar environmentKnowledge of network security methodologies, cyber threats, vulnerabilities and common attack techniquesExperience using security event correlation, monitoring or incident response tools to investigate alerts and eventsAbility to recognize, categorize and analyze vulnerabilities,
