YOUR ROLE
As a Senior Interior Designer, you will play a key leadership role in the design and delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects. You will contribute your expertise across all phases—from concept development through to construction—while mentoring team members and ensuring design excellence and technical rigor.

Key Responsibilities

Lead interior design projects across public and private sectors

Develop creative and functional design concepts aligned with client needs, project goals, and regulatory requirements

Produce and oversee design documentation, including drawings, specifications, finish selections, and material palettes

Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and clients throughout all project phases

Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, accessibility standards, and industry best practices

Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables with a high level of autonomy

Participate in client presentations, proposals, and design reviews

Contribute to business development efforts and maintain strong client relationships

Mentor and support intermediate and junior designers, fostering a collaborative team environment





Stay current with materials, technologies, and sustainability practices

Qualifications & Experience

Registered Interior Designer and active member of ARIDO (Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario) - required

Must be eligible to obtain a federal Secret-level security clearance.

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field

Minimum of 8-10 years of professional experience

Proven experience managing and delivering complex projects across multiple sectors

Strong design sensibility with a portfolio demonstrating creativity, technical expertise, and attention to detail

Excellent knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, accessibility standards, and relevant regulations

Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite; SketchUp and visualization tools are an asset)

Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in a bilingual (French/English) environment is considered an asset

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Ability to direct and coordinate work efforts of other staff

Positive understanding of contract furniture
