Be a part time planner at the Aboriginal Resource Centre in Burns Lake, BC, dedicated to enhancing Indigenous student experiences. Support student activities, facilitate orientation, and provide clerical assistance.Under the supervision of the Manager, Indigenous Initiatives and Inclusion, your responsibilities will include collaborative event organization and delivering customer service to Indigenous students. Your role is vital for fostering a welcoming atmosphere that encourages successful transitions into college life.Key Responsibilities:Provide reception and clerical support to studentsOrganize and implement Indigenous student activitiesAssist with orientation and new student resource preparationMaintain supplies and ensure smooth office operationsPromote respectful communication and positive work atmosphereRequirements:One year of post-secondary education in a related fieldAt least one year of experience with Indigenous studentsStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesUnderstanding of learner-centered approachesProficiency in computer applications, including databasesCreate memorable student experiences while thriving in a supportive role that values Indigenous culture at the Aboriginal Resource Centre.
