As such, the TteS invites applications from qualified, highly motivated and dynamic individuals to fill the following position.POSITION TITLE: Forestry Wildfire Crew Member (Type 2 or 3)DEPARTMENT: Wildfire Crew / Fuel Management - Emergency Preparedness ProgramSUPERVISOR: Emergency Planning CoordinatorTERMS: Full Time, Term until March 31, 2027 with chance of extension.REFERENCE #: 2026-112Purpose Of PositionThe purpose of this position is to provide safe, efficient, and professional wildland fire suppression and wildfire mitigation and preparedness operations working under the direction of the Wildfire Crew Leader.Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe Forestry Wildfire Crew Member is accountable for:Maintaining individual job safetyMaintaining individual and crew equipment fire line readinessEnsuring training certifications are up to dateGathering critical information pertinent to daily assignmentsMaintaining a safety-conscious and professional attitude at all timesWorking collaboratively with BCWS personnel, contract crews, and other community partnersParticipating in fuel management, wildfire mitigation project work, and other department projects (e.G., TteS firewood delivery program and FireSmart initiatives)Participating in emergency prevention, mitigation, preparedness, and response, and recovery activitiesParticipating in wildfire prevention and response community education and awareness eventsForestry Wildfire Crew Member Deliverables IncludeMaintaining full availability for wildfire response (standby and overtime) from May to September,
