Compensation: $70,000+(based on experience)

The Role

Win-Shield Devices is seeking a highly driven, hands-on Test Engineer to help establish and execute the testing and validation processes for a new line of products. You will be responsible for planning, performing and documenting tests, sourcing and validating test equipment, as well as building the jigs and fixtures required to test everything from low volume prototypes to final production parts.

Requested Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, a degree in a similar field or equivalent experience.
- 1+ years working on testing, product validation or quality assurance.
- Experience with 3D CAD (Fusion 360, Solidworks, etc.)
- Experience with drafting engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of test methodologies, data acquisition, and product validation.
- Hands-on experience working with hand/power tools and mechanical testing equipment.
- Familiarity with creating structured testing documentation (test plans, protocols, reports) and test method qualification.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with relevant testing standards for PPE, medical, or defense products (e.g. ASTM, CSA).
- Experience working within an ISO 17025, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, or other regulated




- workplace.

Responsibilities

- Develop comprehensive testing documentation within a regulated Quality Management System (QMS) including authoring test protocols and detailed test reports.
- Conduct physical testing and evaluation of initial low-volume prototypes.
- Utilize 3D CAD to design, test, and fabricate custom test fixtures and R&D; jigs for evaluating initial prototypes, eventually scaling these designs for standardized production testing.
- Plan, specify, procure, and commission the capital equipment required to build-outin-house testing capabilities.
- Work closely with Design Engineers, Quality, R&D;, and external test laboratories to solve complex validation challenges.
- Aid in the execution of equipment calibration and test method qualification for all new testing equipment to ensure repeatable and accurate results.
