Valard Construction is seeking a Journeyperson Powerline Technician to join our Toronto team. Emphasizing safety, this role is critical in constructing and maintaining power distribution systems.

Positioned under the Construction Foreman, you will play a hands-on role in powering communities by working on both overhead and underground electrical systems. The ideal candidate will possess a Journeyperson certification (434A or Red Seal) and have substantial experience in the utility sector. Joining the CUSW, you will also guide and mentor less experienced technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and construct electrical infrastructure safely
• Perform energized work and system switching tasks
• Teach safety practices and procedures to apprentices




• Lead job hazard assessments and safety planning
• Document compliance with safety regulations

Requirements:
• Journeyperson Powerline Technician (434A or Red Seal) certification
• Experience with energized and underground installations
• Class 4 Rubber Glove certification
• Valid Driver's License with valuable standing
• Knowledge of electrical schematics and construction practices
