Overview

Join our dynamic construction team as a Traffic Control Person, where you'll be the vital link ensuring safety and smooth operations at construction sites. Your primary role will involve directing traffic, managing site access, and supporting heavy equipment operation to facilitate paving and other construction activities. This position offers an energetic environment where your attention to detail and proactive approach help keep everyone safe while projects progress efficiently.

Duties

- Set up and maintain traffic control devices such as signs, cones, and barriers to direct vehicle and pedestrian flow around construction zones

- Assist in safely guiding heavy equipment operators during paving and other construction tasks

- Monitor site conditions continuously, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations

- Communicate effectively with team members, equipment operators, and visitors to coordinate movements and prevent accidents

- Support the setup of detours or lane closures as needed for project phases





- Conduct routine inspections of traffic control setups to ensure visibility and effectiveness

- Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly to supervisors for immediate action

Qualifications

- Prior experience in traffic control, construction, or related fields preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided

- Solid understanding of construction site safety protocols and traffic management practices

- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure clear instructions are followed

- Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform manual tasks for extended periods in outdoor environments

- Valid certification in traffic
