We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Trailer Mechanic to join our maintenance team! In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of trailers to ensure safety, reliability, and optimal performance. Your expertise will help keep our customers operational and compliant with industry standards. Your hands-on skills and mechanical knowledge will be essential in delivering top-notch service and support to our operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections of trailers, including brakes, axles, suspension systems, lighting, and electrical components.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on trailers such as welding, replacing parts, and troubleshooting mechanical issues using hand tools and power tools.
- Preform trailer alignments
- Complete CVIP inspections and repairs
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities for compliance and future reference.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service orders while adhering to safety protocols.
- CVIP license an asset
Skills
- Proven trailer mechanic experience with strong knowledge of automotive repair principles.
- Proficiency in welding techniques and electrical troubleshooting using schematics.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate industrial equipment efficiently.
- Tools and tool box required
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment for repairs and assembly.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients when necessary.
