Class 1 Driver – Calgary to USA East Coast

Position: Full-Time Long-Haul / Cross-Border

Pay: $0.68 per mile

We are currently seeking an experienced and dependable Class 1 Driver for regular Calgary to USA East Coast runs operating a dry van.

The successful candidate will be an experienced professional driver who prioritizes safety, reliability, communication, and compliance while operating across Canada and the United States.

Compensation

- Regular Calgary → USA East Coast routes

Mandatory Requirements
- Must be located in Calgary or the surrounding area
- Must possess a valid Class 1 Driver’s Licence
- Minimum 5 years of Class 1 driving experience
- Applicants with less than 5 years of Class 1 experience will not be considered
- Must possess a valid Canadian passport and be legally eligible to enter the United States for commercial transportation
- Must have a clean and current driver's abstract
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- No LMIA, work permit, or immigration sponsorship is available for this position
- Applicants who require employer sponsorship to obtain or maintain authorization to work in Canada will not be considered
- Must be willing to undergo regular company-mandated drug and alcohol screening, in accordance with company policy and applicable requirements
- Must be able to demonstrate a high proficiency in both written and spoken English to ensure clear and effective communication with dispatch, customers, border officials, vendors, and other parties encountered during the course of the job
- Must be comfortable with long-haul and cross-border driving




- Must demonstrate a solid commitment to safe driving and compliance with all applicable transportation regulations

Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a tractor and dry van on scheduled Calgary–USA East Coast routes
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and ensure equipment is properly maintained
- Safely secure and transport freight
- Maintain accurate trip, delivery, and other required documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers throughout each trip
- Comply with all Canadian and U.S. transportation, customs, and border requirements
- Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with customers and other parties
- Report any delays, incidents, mechanical issues, or other concerns promptly
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Candidates must meet all mandatory requirements, including holding a valid Class 1 licence, valid Canadian passport, clean driver's abstract, current legal authorization to work in Canada, and the ability to legally enter the United States for commercial transportation.
