At Secord Animal Hospital, we are seeking a Veterinarian, DVM, to join our team as Medical Director in Toronto, Ontario. This unique leadership opportunity allows you to continue practicing medicine while shaping the clinical direction of the hospital, mentoring veterinarians and RVTs, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture dedicated to exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide gentle preventive and urgent care, ensuring pets and their families feel safe and supported.
- Serve as the clinical leader for the hospital, providing guidance, mentorship and support to veterinarians while promoting medical excellence and evidence-based patient care.
- Contribute to strategic planning, quality improvement initiatives and hospital growth while ensuring clinical excellence remains at the center of decision-making.
- Ensure hospital protocols align with regulatory requirements and our high standards of patient care.
- Welcome tomorrow's talent. You'll be an important part of guiding the next generation of veterinary professionals by mentoring students, externs, and new graduates.

- As Medical Director, you will divide your time between clinical practice and medical leadership, supporting the development of veterinarians, promoting a collaborative approach to medicine and helping shape the future of the hospital.

- Experience leading or mentoring veterinary professionals, with a passion for developing early-career veterinarians, students and support teams.
- A collaborative leadership style that recognizes and values every team member's contributions, from RVTs to Client Care professionals.




- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to inspire confidence among team members, clients and hospital leadership.
