Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Voting Technician to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting voting equipment, supporting election staff, and providing exceptional customer service to voters. Your expertise will help uphold the integrity and efficiency of the electoral process, ensuring every vote is accurately recorded and securely managed.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and configure voting machines and electronic voting systems in accordance with established procedures.
- Conduct routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of voting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist voters with the operation of voting devices, providing clear instructions and support to ensure a positive voting experience.
- Coordinate with election officials on setup schedules,



equipment inventory, procurement needs, and logistical arrangements.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols by monitoring access to voting areas and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.

Experience

- Strong technical aptitude with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with Windows operating systems.
- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities such as French are a plus for engaging diverse communities.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Proven customer service skills with a qualified approach to assisting voters and stakeholders.
- Background in AV or events
