This role is ideal for someone who is skilled in data analysis, has strong attention to detail, and can effectively communicate scientific findings.This position involves fieldwork (70%), with travel and remote work, and in-office analysis and reporting (30%).Key Responsibilities as a Wildlife Biologist:Conduct wildlife surveys, species inventories, and habitat assessmentsPerform field assessments for project impact analysisIdentify, monitor,



and evaluate sensitive wildlife species and ecosystemsAnalyze data to inform conservation strategies and mitigation measuresPrepare detailed technical reports and summariesLiaise with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholdersAssist with permit applications and regulatory compliance documentationStay current with wildlife and environmental regulations and best practicesSupport other team initiatives to ensure project successSkills and Qualifications We Seek:Strong observational and field research skillsProficiency in identifying wildlife species and understanding their habitatsKnowledge of environmental permitting and regulatory complianceFamiliarity with GIS and wildlife mapping software (an asset)Knowledge of federal, provincial, and municipal wildlife legislationAbility to work independently and adapt to changing field conditionsStrong communication skills for technical report writing and stakeholder engagementEligibility for Alberta's Professional Regulatory OrganizationsValid driver's license and willingness to travel
