Don't miss out - apply today!Job DescriptionAs a Gas Compression Tech, you'll put your skills into action by partnering directly with customers to keep their operations running at peak performance. You'll troubleshoot and oversee repairs on a wide range of Caterpillar gas and diesel engines—both in the shop and out in the field—leveraging your technical knowledge to build trust, solve challenges, and deliver the reliability our customers depend on. Your work will include:Field diagnosis and running repairsLarge‐scale overhauls and rebuildsComponent replacementsCompleting required paperwork and maintaining clear customer communicationQualificationsJourneyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification (Millwright and Automotive also accepted)Valid class 5 driver's license with a successful drivers abstract required for field positionsMinimum 2 years experience as a Journeyperson Heavy Duty MechanicPrevious CAT general line experience including troubleshooting skills and a good understanding of CAT engine and powertrain components2 years experience on gas engines and compressors2 years experience operating a service truckCompletion, or in the process of completing Finning S-level coursesTeam player will have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skillsMust be able to demonstrate basic computer skillsImportant DetailsVarious options of location and shifts (throughout Alberta and Northern BC)Must be able and willing to travel to and from customer sites across our territoryTooled company truck supplied, hotel & per diem or camp when travellingA condition of employment may include the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicableUnion Membership: This is a unionized position.
