Your Newpany Our client is a well-established organization within the utilities sector seeking an experienced Category Analyst to join their Supply Chain team.

This is a 1-year contract opportunity based in Airdrie, Alberta, offering a hybrid work setting.

Your New Role As the Category Analyst, you will support strategic sourcing and category management activities with a focus on civil and electrical construction.

You will independently leadplex sourcing initiatives, including full-cycle RFx processes, high-value contract negotiations, supplier management, andmercial analysis.

What You Need to Do Lead full-cycle RFx processes from development and market engagement through evaluation, negotiation, award, and contract execution.

Manage strategic sourcing activities across civil construction, electrical construction, and other assigned direct-spend categories.

Develop category and sourcing strategies aligned with operational and business requirements.

Leadplex, high-value procurement initiatives and supportmercial and contract negotiations.

Conduct supplier, market, pricing, andmercial analysis to support sourcing decisions.

Manage supplier relationships, performance, risk, and contractual obligations throughout the contract lifecycle.





Collaborate with internal stakeholders across operations, finance, legal, and supply chain.

What You''ll Need to Succeed 5+ years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, contract management, or a related area.

Strong full-cycle RFx experience with the ability to independently leadplex sourcing processes.

Experience managing high-value contracts andplex procurement initiatives.

Experience with contracts valued at $100M+ is highly desirable.

Utility supply chain experience is strongly preferred.

Experience within civil construction, electrical construction, energy, utilities, or infrastructure is a strong asset.

Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business,merce, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.

Robust negotiation,mercial analysis, supplier management, and stakeholder management skills.
