Floors Xtra Ingersoll is part of a locally owned, multi-location flooring business serving homeowners, builders, and commercial clients across Oxford and Norfolk. We're looking for a detail-oriented person to run our warehouse and own the inventory side of our business system.
This is not a typical warehouse job. About half your time is hands-on: receiving, cutting, staging, delivering, keeping the warehouse and store floor in top shape, and helping customers when needed. The other half is at a computer, making sure what's on our shelves matches what's in our system and that every job is costed correctly. If you like physical work but also take pride in getting the numbers right, this role is built for you.
What you'll do
Warehouse & delivery
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, and document damages or shortages
- Cut, stage, and pull material for installers and customer pickups
- Deliver material to job sites and customers
- Handle returns and vendor claims
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe; this is a space customers and trades see
Store floor & customers
- Keep in-store pallets and displays stocked, faced, and tidy; our Ingersoll store is warehouse-style, so the floor is
part of the warehouse
- Help customers when needed: answering product questions, pulling material, and loading orders
Installer support
- Be the day-to-day point of contact for our installation crews on material
- Make sure crews have the right product, in the right quantity, ready on time
- Build strong working relationships with installers; their success on site starts with you
Inventory & system
- Enter receivings in our business software (RFMS) against purchase orders
- Match packing slips and vendor invoices to orders, and flag discrepancies
- Cost jobs and report variances to management
- Run regular inventory cycle counts
What we're looking for
- Experience in shipping/receiving, inventory, or warehouse work
- Valid Ontario driver's licence (G) and a clean driving record
- Comfortable with computers; experience in any inventory or ERP system is a solid asset
- Accurate: you notice when numbers don't line up, and you follow up
- Clean and organized by habit, not just when someone's checking
- Easy to work with; you build good relationships with trades and coworkers
- Able to regularly lift and move material up to 50 lb, with equipment for heavier items
- Forklift experience is an asset
- Flooring or building-supply experience is an asset, not a requirement
What we offer
- $22–$25/hour, based on experience
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., with occasional Saturdays
