We are currently searching for a CNC Operator to join our continually growing team.

The Welding Shop was founded in 1969 with some of our staff being here for over 30 years. This amount of experience helps us to provide the highest level of professional service to the welding industry, and to always be proactive so that safety is never compromised.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Proven experience as a Plasma Machine Operator
- Over head crane experience
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, diagrams, and specifications in both imperial and metric units
- Strong understanding of plasma cutting technology and operation
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks and troubleshoot issues
- Welding experience would be considered an asset

Responsibilities:




- Operate a plasma cutting machine to cut and shape metal sheets and plates according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to ensure accurate cuts
- Prepare workpieces for cutting by cleaning, degreasing, and clamping
- Set cutting parameters, such as speed, to achieve desired cut quality and accuracy
- Monitor the cutting process, adjust settings as needed, and troubleshoot issues
- Inspect cut parts for quality control purposes
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal machine performance
