Woodfield Canada is a family run business in the automotive industry that focuses on commercial vehicle accessories & work vehicle modifications. We are continually growing and are currently looking to add an adaptable Vehicle Equipment Installer/Vehicle Upfitting Technician to our team.

We welcome candidates ranging from entry-level/junior assistants eager to learn, to experienced independent installers. Depending on shop needs and your specific role assignment, positions may focus on a single dedicated station or involve cross-training and rotating between stations to provide essential shop coverage and support.

Key responsibilities:

- Work efficiently at a dedicated installation station or rotate across different areas of the shop floor as assigned to support the team and maintain smooth production flow.
- Prepare back-rack assemblies, build and assemble wiring harnesses according to specifications, and ensure all components are organized for upcoming work orders.
- Review wiring schematics and layout drawings to safely lift, position, and install commercial accessories, work-vehicle modifications, and electronic components onto vehicles.
- Ensure all products and accessories are safely and properly fastened to the vehicles according to quality standards.




- Safely move vehicles into and out of work bays and prepare vehicles for the installation process.
- Provide shop workflow continuity during peak production times or to cover staff absences when necessary.
- Accurately fill out paperwork, recording hours and vehicle information as required.
- Clean shop bays, keep tools organized, and respect all company- provided equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- Experience: 0 to 2+ years of hands-on mechanical experience
- Ability to safely and skillfully work with hand tools, including drills, grinders, etc. in a shop environment
- Basic understanding of electrical wiring and the ability to read layout drawings or schematics is preferred
- Ability to work physically for up to 10 hours per day, individually lift up to 50 lbs, and team-lift up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to move in and out of vehicles multiple times per day
- Valid Driver’s License required (ability to safely move vehicles into bays)

Job Types: Full time, Permanent Pay: From $22.00 per hour
