O is seeking

Certified Level 1 and 2 Water & Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators in the

C entral Interior of British Columbia

. Work will consist of

hour days, 2 weeks on 2 weeks off shift-work (includes potential night shift-work) at a local gold mine

.

Flights/travel, meals, and accommodations paid

. Get your full year of pay, with only working less than half the year. CONDITIONS

Overall Remuneration Including

Group insurance plan; RRSP; Vacation and sick days. THE DAY-TO-DAY

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Water &

• Wastewater Plant Supervisor will be responsible for: Consistently offering professional, engaging and friendly service

• Ensures all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner

• Supporting staff with the maintenance and operation of the treatment plants according to related Government standards

• Maintenance and operation of the filtering and chemical treatment process

• Maintain all related readings and documentation





• Keeping a daily log and documenting of analytical parameters

• Creation and completion of work orders for servicing and repairs

• Supporting operations staff with vacation relief

• Supporting with the purchase of goods and equipment, and maintain inventory

• Supporting with data entry and reports to government agencies, departments, and other organizations as required

• Compliance with all safety and sanitation policies

• Ability to communicate effectively with other personnel and supervisors

• Support with the clients, vendors and engineers. Shared on-call for emergency response Training/support of other staff or on-site personnel Professional

SKILLS &

• ATTRIBUTES DESIRED A minimum of Level 2 in Water/Wastewater disciplines is required;

Experience operating and maintaining Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants and related equipment is required

• Must be flexible and demonstrate a dedication to the position and to the public services

• Computer literate with ability to use Microsoft Word, and Excel

• Valid Alberta Driver’s License required

• Must be able to perform on-call services on a rotational schedule

• Excellent and professional oral and written communication skills





• Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

Walking/standing/bending/reaching/pushing/pulling: Potential of 6-8 hr/day; Computer work: Potential of 1-4 hours/day; Driving: Potential of 4-6hr/day; Physical Effort: does not lift weights more than 50 lbs; Environmental Stress: busy atmosphere, working inside and outside. Work Environment: Work is performed indoors and outdoors in sometimes harsh weather conditions.
