This is a high‐impact role responsible for both designing and executing safety systems, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving a robust, proactive safety culture across all sites. The Safety Manager is the single point of accountability for workplace safety and works closely with Operations and People & Culture to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and safe operating practices.What You'll DoSafety Program Ownership & ExecutionAccountable for the end to end development, implementation, training and sustained adoption of all occupational health and safety programs, policies, and procedures across all sites, ensuring consistent application of standards through regular inspections, audits, and safety walkthroughsIdentify hazards and lead corrective and preventative actions to drive continuous improvement in workplace safety performanceLead workplace incident and near‐miss investigations, including root cause analysis, and ensure timely documentation and escalation of all incidentsEnsure compliance with all applicable occupational health and safety legislation while maintaining audit‐ready records and supporting regulatory inspections and auditsFirst Aid Program ManagementOwn and manage the organization's first aid program across all locations, ensuring appropriate coverage, certification, and operational readinessEnsure compliance with all first aid certification requirements and support incident response in active operational environmentsRisk Management & Continuous ImprovementConduct hazard identification, risk assessments,



and mitigation activities across all operational areasSupport operational and process changes with safety input while tracking performance trends to drive continuous improvement initiativesTraining & Safety CultureDevelop, deliver, and maintain workplace safety training programs and ensure completion of all required certifications across the organizationCoach employees and leaders on safe work practices while promoting a strong, visible safety culture through hands‐on operational engagementWhat We're Looking For5+ years of experience in Occupational Health & Safety advisory within manufacturing, food production, or distribution environmentsBachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Health Sciences, or equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation, including WorkSafe BC requirements, BC OHS Regulations, and applicable CSA StandardsDemonstrated hands‐on experience in safety program development, policy implementation, investigations, audits, risk assessments, and hazard identification, with coaching and mentorship capabilityAdvanced First Aid (OFA Level 3) certification and formal training in risk assessment and hazard identificationWho You AreAble to work independently across multiple sitesStrong investigation and root cause analysis skillsExcellent communication and coaching abilitiesHigh attention to detail and accountability mindsetAble to influence without formal authorityComfortable working in active production and warehouse environmentsMulti‐site role with regular travel between facilities and significant time spent on production floors and warehouse environmentsExposure to active operational settings requiring PPE and adherence to safety protocolsWhat We OfferBase salary range of $75,000.00 – $90,000.00.
