Please reach out to Human Resources should you require accommodation during the recruitment process.Location: CAN - Brampton, Intermodal DriveJob Posting Title: Business Development Manager, RoadTime Type: Full TimeCompensation: Salary starting at $80,000 plus eligible benefits, in accordance with experience and internal equity.This posting is for an existing vacancy and not intended to create a talent pipelineSUMMARYThe Business Development Manager is responsible for achieving sales growth targets and executing strategic priorities while driving collaboration within the Canadian organization.Maintaining existing or onboarded complex accounts aligned with DSV's Sales Process; achieving sales plan objectives with the assigned clients, new targets, and complex client prospects by selling DSV's products and solutions; ensuring alignment across functional areas (Product, Sales, Operations) throughout all phases of the sales cycle. Responsibility to drive end-to-end and value-added solutions with sizeable potentialKEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESIdentifies new business opportunities through contact with prospective clients in the assigned market and for cross selling new services to existing clients.Identifies market trends and competitive rate actions and communicates those trends to the product and management teamsExercises proactive solution development by creating and maintaining a client lifecycle program for his/her top clients.Builds a solid understanding of target customers/assigned account base (contact, commodities/ trade lanes, type of business, contract information/exceptions, and service requirements)Assists and facilitates in the preparation of RFQ's,
bids and Understands pricing and cost components associated with proposed solutionsIdentifies the competitive service strengths and weaknesses of the company and makes recommendations for continuous improvement initiativesProvides weekly and monthly performance metrics to the sales administratorPerforms for other duties including sales presentations, developing deliverables, coordinating implementation, creating and adding to existing marketing materials where appropriateEnters new customer data and other sales data for clients into CRM and maintains this information per DSV company policyMeets specific volume and revenue requirements for each product in the portfolio as designated by the General Manager, SalesManages time and sales territory to be able to reach the desired number of sales calls, weekly basis ensuring maximum exposure to the marketEnsures effective and timely responses to all sales leads/key correspondence within identified timelinesManages expenses and other company assets in accordance with DSV corporate guidelinesPerforms other duties as assigned by managementEnsure full adherence to DSV Global Sales ProcessQuality, Health & SafetySupports organizational commitment to ISO 9001Perform assigned tasks to support DSV meets its objectives and targets regarding quality, health, safety and environment and follow all requirements as set out in the DSV Quality Health Safety Setting policy.Staff are required to ensure that their day-to-day activities embrace sustainability, Health and safety therefore reducing the impact upon the environment, supporting the communities we work in and reducing incidents in the workplace.QUALIFICATIONSEducation and ExperienceEducation in supply chain logistics, international transportation, or a related field of study or equivalent work experienceMinimum 5 years of industry experienceMinimum 2 years of account management experienceCIFFA certificate, an assetSkills and CompetenciesGood command, both verbal and written, English skills.Ability to create collaborative engagements and active listeningService oriented and able to resolve customer grievancesStrong interpersonal skills, building professional relationships internally and externallyStrong problem-solving skills and analytical skillsAbility to multi-task, plan,
