The Administrative Business Partner (ABP) provides strategic, high-impact executive support to executives at Asana. This role operates as a trusted partner and is embedded within a collaborative ABP team that shares resources, best practices, and cross-functional coverage. The ABP is expected to build deep business acumen, operate with exceptional discretion, and drive operational excellence across a quick-moving, global organization.This role is based in our Vancouver office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. If you're interviewing for this role, your recruiter will share more about the in-office requirements.What You'll AchieveExecutive & Calendar ManagementOwn end-to-end calendar management with strong attention to accuracy, context-switching, and energy managementAnticipate the executive's needs before they arise, staying ahead of shifting priorities and schedule dependencies rather than reacting to themPartner closely with EBPs and ABPs to rapidly drive calendar alignment across the leadership teamManage complex domestic and international travel arrangements, including customer-facing itineraries, office visit planning, meeting goals, AMAs, and team eventsMeeting & Communications SupportDrive efficient meeting logistics including agendas, pre-reads, and follow-up actionsPrepare the executive for key meetings through briefing materials and relevant contextDraft and route communications on behalf of executives, including internal announcements, team messages, and channel communicationsServe as a communication proxy where appropriate, maintaining professionalism and discretionAct as a hub of knowledge for the team — fielding questions, routing requests to the right owners, and finding answers even when they aren't immediately obviousEvent Planning & OwnershipOwn end-to-end planning and execution of team events including all-hands, off-sites, end-of-quarter celebrations, and product launch celebrationsCoordinate cross-functionally to manage logistics, timelines, and stakeholder alignment from start to finishProject, Program & ProcessLead and manage large, complex cross-functional projects with measurable business impactTrack workstreams, surface blockers,



and keep stakeholders aligned and informedIdentify operational gaps and build the processes to close them — not just managing existing workflows but creating structure where it doesn't yet existLeverage Asana's own product and AI tools to design, document, and optimize operational workflows; helping leaders adopt and model best practices is a core expectation of this roleStakeholder PartnershipMaintain a working knowledge of key internal and external stakeholders to effectively interface on the executive's behalf across all levels of the organizationBuild trusted relationships across the organization, including with chiefs of staff, people partners, and other ABPsServe as an extension of the executive in all internal and external interactions — anticipating their perspective, advancing their priorities, and representing them with professionalism and discretionCulture & Operational ExcellenceEmbody Asana's operating principles and mission in day-to-day workDemonstrate curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies; actively use them to improve productivity, collaboration, and decision-makingContribute to the continuous improvement of ABP team practices, knowledge-sharing, and team camaraderieAbout you7+ years supporting VP or C-Suite leadersExperience operating across a global business with complex international logisticsExceptional discretion and judgment with confidential and sensitive informationStrong prioritization skills with the ability to analyze trade-offs and bring stakeholders alongComposure and grace under pressure in a fast-paced, high-change environmentComfort with an in-person, office-centric hybrid scheduleDemonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-makingAt Asana, we're committed to building teams that include a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills, as this is critical to helping us achieve our mission. we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.For this role, the estimated base salary range is between 97,000 CAD–110,000 CAD. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
